Tin Man VFX and Animation by Julie Bergman

Zora was Azkedellia's pet mobat, one of her most prized possessions. I animated Zora for most of her scenes, including the one pictured here. The only scene I didn't animate Zora was her death scene, which I was actually quite happy not to do. Zora was one of my favorite things to animate for this show!

There were other mobats in the show, acting as gatherers of information as well as attacking and bringing the heroes to Azkedellia when she needed them. I animated a lot of these as well, but I spent most of my time animating them in what we called the "Great Hall", a pillared hall within the Ice Palace. This was the scene where the mobats fly through the Hall after Glitch, Raw, and D.G., capturing D.G. and bringing her to Azkedellia to be taken prisoner.

And where did Azkedellia keep all of these mobats? In her chest! Yes, when in a restful state, the mobats resume as tattoos on Azkedellia's chest. This meant that every time Az wanted to send a flock (or just a couple) of mobats out, I had to animate her tattoos coming to life, and forming into mobats. Then I would animate the fully formed mobats flying away obediently. So, if you hear anyone talking about Az's "moobs"....you'll know what they mean.

Father View was a really cool character, and I'm glad I was able to do so much for this scene! I animated some of the shots (not all of them, mind you...about half) in Father View's scene. I also textured his mechanical body. He was very steam-punk influenced, and I was really happy with the results of my first texturing job.

The last thing I want to mention is the Papay Runners. I don't have a picture to go with them, but I did animate them for one of their scenes. You know the part where the Papay bites Cain? That was me! I also animated them running for a couple shots, getting killed by Cain's gun and stuff. I didn't spend a lot of time on those guys though, which is why I'm mentioning them last.
